| Dental Laboratory
One of Mount Horebs main activities has been to create jobs and generate income; an important pillar for the betterment of impoverished communities like Itaperuçu. As well as contributing to the sustainability of Mount Horeb, the work they provide has empowered many poor people and helps build self-esteem as they participate in serving others. We now operate a dental clinic with 3 treatment rooms, and as many as 9 dentists who work at greatly reduced rates in order to serve the poor. The goal now is to expand and add a dental laboratory in order to provide a broader range of services, and create more employment.
This laboratory will enable the production of dental prosthetics and will generate a series of benefits for our community, for those who provide these services, and for the sustainability of our overall effort.

| Mobile Health Clinic
Through the use of a mobile medical unit, Mount Horeb has developed an effective compassionate outreach promoting, protecting and recuperating the health of the impoverished families in the rural communities of Itaperuçu. The essential components of this initiative involve: education in basic health care, instruction in nutrition, personal hygiene, sanitation, treatment and oral health education, the distribution of medication, helping children with their homework assignments as well as doing home evangelism.
Due to the fact that we have a fully equipped mobile health unit, and professional volunteer staff, we are able to treat 250 people each month for a cost of $750.00 Canadian.

| Sports, Art, Entertainment and Evangelism
Through a soccer school Mount Horeb has developed, teaching workshops, debate sessions, and a whole range of playful and recreational activities and actions that seek to promote the social, cultural, and spiritual development of the youth of Itaperuçu. This initiative contributes to the restoration of self-esteem, it stimulates creativity, and it helps bring about the integration of the youth with their families and communities.
Besides the above objectives, the 60 youth that have been participating are consistently challenged regarding their personal relationship with God, their responsibilities to their families and their communities, and are challenged to make a difference in society.
Sponsorship Cost: $600.00 or $10 per youth per month
